Design for Action and Implementation
Too often we use workshop time to try to give the solutions we think people need. What if we used that time to enable people to work through the solutions they'd like to see implemented? Design learning experiences and workshops that tap into the ingenuity of others and inspire action.
We work with schools and organizations to boost educator engagement and promote entrepreneurial thinking. We have a solid understanding of the education ecosystem and the needs and demands of teachers. As former teachers ourselves, we understand that changemaking and innovation cannot be fully realized with any sort of ‘one and done’ workshop. For that reason, we work with schools and organizations to develop a holistic strategy to create the environment and conditions to best support and engage teachers in new concepts and change.
One-off Experiences: Innovation Workshops & Implementation Labs
-
We create learning experiences that facilitate dialogue, creative problem solving, and innovation. We believe giving people the power to do something is the best way to facilitate change and empower others to act.
We design our events based on the needs of the school or client. We have formats to engage participants in a challenge of choice so that they might co-create solutions or design personalized projects. Reach out to learn more and discuss your needs. -
Hackathons - These are fast paced events that blend together brainstorming techniques, collaboration, and co-creation. This format works best for larger groups working towards a similar challenge.
Workshops - Our workshops are meant for small groups designing personalized projects. Through a mix of skill-building and coaching we ensure participants create strategic projects or initiatives with a focus on successful implementation and impact.
Implementation Sprints - We provide ‘follow through’ workshops that complement other events, workshops, or speaking engagements. Our goal with these workshops is to enable participants to do something with new ideas and apply learning.
Invest in teachers.
Long-term Impact: Professional Learning Redesign, Skills-Based PD
-
We all want participants to be able to use our ideas and apply our content. What does that look like in action?
We help you design workshops or trainings that engage users and help them to apply learning. Teachers often face barriers (compliance, assessment, etcetera) that prevent them from implementing new ideas. We work to help educators overcome these obstacles so they can make new idea come to life in the classroom.
-
Our goal is to help you best support and develop others so they might engage in your content in a way that is meaningful and authentic. We work with you to understand your needs and desired outcomes. From there we work together to co-create learning experiences to help others act on your ideas and implement change.
Accelerators and Incubators for Innovative Teachers
-
We create opportunities for educators to implement great ideas. It’s not enough to talk about new concepts or changes in education, we must create opportunities for action. This requires devoting space, time, and resouces for educators to implement ideas in a way that works for their context and students.
Get in touch with us to explore how we might launch an accelerator or design an incubator to support teachers as they turn ideas into real experiences and opportunities for students.

As former teachers with experience in the social startup space, we understand both the process of innovation and the nuances of the education space that might prevent change. For those reasons, we have a creative approach for engaging and empowering educators in new initiatives grounded in entrepreneurial thinking. We understand the blindspots that hold back the many potential innovators we have in the education space and work with you to unlock that potential.
Just as our startup inspired tools take into account the whole person, we know that transformation requires trust, shifts in mindset and culture, as well as changes to systems. It’s not easy work, but together we can create systems where all educators feel engaged and empowered to be their best, which is the best way we can support our students.
