Discover How We Empower Educators
Teachers in Aberdeen, SD brainstorm ways to infuse more Joy and action in their classrooms.

Because the best way to invest in our students is to invest in our teachers.

There is no change in education without the expertise of our educators. To shape the future our students deserve, we must create the conditions for educators to thrive. The Educators’ Lab helps districts, agencies, universities, and other partners cultivate the conditions for teachers to innovate and implement.

We advocate for educators, include them in dialogues shaping the future of education, invest in their ideas, and create programming and opportunities to support our teachers so they can drive change as local catalysts.

  • "Darcy is grounded and really approachable. I love that she has something worthwhile to say and knows how to say it in a way that's easy to hear."

    -Leah, 9-12th Grade English Teacher

  • "Darcy brings a joy to thought partnership that is needed and often overlooked. She sees possibility where others commonly see dead ends. What I’ve gained from our time together is a reassurance that the world of consulting has deeply good humans in it, despite what is often perceived or projected!"

Jimmy McCue, Director of Finance & Operations, Open Way Learning

  • “In an era of extremely high expectations and an extreme amount of “more on educators’ plates”, Darcy helps teachers silo information so they can work smarter, not harder, to best do what is needed for students.”

    Amy Flicek

Director of Professional Development, ND United

  • "Working with Darcy as a thought partner over the past two years has been impactful. She has the ability to simultaneously validate my original idea and then make it better."

James Mattice, School Principal, Founder Assessment and Competency Collaborative

  • "Normally 30 minutes into PD I wish it was over. This...This I wish we had another day."

    Dawn, 7-12 Science Teacher

  • "Working with Darcy is uplifting because she listens, connects, and brings wisdom to every situation. Her experience and expertise in education coupled with her personal life's journey make her an exceptional thought-partner."

    Beth Skelton, Educational Consultants, LLC

  • Working with Darcy always sparks new ideas for me. When I collaborate with her, I walk away with practical strategies that are easy to try right away, but also big-picture thinking that pushes me to reimagine what school can feel like for students. She’s not just a consultant—she’s a true thought partner who helps schools design learning that is both meaningful and joyful.
